(1) For each person allow 1 pork steak, 2 sliced mushrooms and 1 small or ½ large cooking apple, peeled, cored and sliced.
(2) Fry the pork steaks for about 5 - 6 minutes on each side until golden brown. Meanwhile lightly stew the apple with a little water.
(3) Put the sliced mushrooms in the bottom on an ovenproof dish, lay the pork steaks on top and spoon the apple over.
(4) Bake in a moderate oven (180C / 350F / Gasmark 4) for 40 - 45 minutes.
