The T.V. Contestant
A contestant on the T.V. program 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' had got to the very last question.
Chris Tarrant asked him, "Who masterminded the Great Train Robbery back in the 1960's. Was it Ronnie Barker, Ronnie Corbet, Ronnie O'Sullivan or Ronnie Biggs?"
Chris reminds him that he still has his 3 life lines left.
Chris continued, "This is a really easy one and if you answer correctly, I'll give you a cheque for a million pounds!"
The contestant replied, "No, I'll take the half million."
Chris flabbergasted said, "Give him a round of applause ladies and gentlemen," then handed him the £500,000 cheque.
After the show, Chris asked the contestant, "Surely you knew the answer to the last question which would have won you a million pounds?"
The contestant replied, "Yes, sure I did, but I don't grass on anybody!"
