The Doctor's Wife

A husband (a successful doctor) and his wife are having a fight at the breakfast table.

The husband gets up in a rage and says, "And you're no good in bed either," and storms out of the house.

After a while, he realises he's been hasty and decides to make amends so he rings her up from his surgery.

After many rings, the wife eventually comes to the phone and the irritated husband says, "What took you so long to answer the phone?"

She says, "I was in bed."

"In bed, this late in the morning!  Doing what?"

"Getting a second opinion!"
